Better Project Information and Various UX Improvements

Convenient additions to projects

To ensure greater visibility of projects, users can now upload logos to each of their projects.

In Admin Panel → Project Settings, find the option to upload a project logo, which will be displayed along with the project name.

Also, the interface of a project’s name has been supplemented with information about the project’s type (internal/commercial) and status (Active/Inactive). Additionally, information about the most recent date (Last Updated) of successful data parsing has been placed on the HELP icon.

This streamlines the collection of quick and essential information without needed to open up separate project pages.

Improvements

1. The logic of the tagging bot for stand-ups has been adjusted and now works like this:

  • The default value for "how many times to tag" is now 1 instead of 5.
  • If a value of 1 is specified, the bot will only tag 10 minutes before the stand-up deadline instead of a minimum of 3.
  • If a user specifies 2 or more times in the "how many" field, the bot will tag 2 times  instead of 4:
    - Ten minutes before the standup.
    - 1 time after the deadline.

2. The Project Report function now hosts the ability to see the details of the day without a worklog. Previously, it was impossible to open the current day in the Worklog report tab if there were no worklogs (a dash symbol was displayed). Now you can see the details of the day even if there are no worklogs for that day.

3. Filter styles in reports have been updated. Please refer to the screenshot below for an example:

4. Enji has introduced a new "Go to rates" button in SoW. This is useful when adding an employee to a project. Users can quickly go to the Project Rates section to set a rating. 

The button is available for users with the Stakeholder role.

5. The Worklog Report now highlights the current day in a separate color to increase visibility.

6. The Enji team has improved the SoW Planning report in the following ways:

  • Reduced the indentation from the top of the page to the tab title bar.
  • Made the table more compact by reducing the indentation at the top and bottom of the text in each row.
  • The Show Admin Staff button has been made one line wide.
  • Limited the information in the Current SOW column to 2 rows.
  • Removed the empty space after the Total field.

7. The team has also made the following improvements in Project Profits reports:

  • Reduced the indentation from the top of the page to the tab title bar.
  • Aligned the height of the search bar to match the previous search bar.
  • Restored search criteria to be saved when switching to other tabs.
  • The Consolidated Report now colors all numbers over 10,000 in green, leaves negative numbers in red, and leaves the others in black.
  • In the Overall report, coloring has been added. Negative values are red, values over 50,000 are green, and the rest are black.
  • In the Overall report, the rows with column names have been reduced in height.

8. There are also improvements in Employee Profits reports:

  • Reduced the indentation from the top of the page to the tab title bar.
  • Aligned the height of the search bar to match the previous search bar.
  • Restored search criteria to be saved when switching to other tabs.
  • When accessing the page, the default display is the month with the latest available data.
  • The Consolidated Report colors negative values in red, values greater than 1000 in green, and the rest in black.

Bugfixes

  • [Standup Bot] Fixed a bug where the bot would stop tagging users by asking them to turn in a standup. The tagging now works.
  • [JIRA] JIRA parsing did not work when the status of the project was too long. The field's length for storing status has been increased up to 120 characters. Now, parsing works correctly.
  • [JIRA] Parsing did not work if the "date and time of successful parsing" field was empty. Parsing now works correctly.
  • [Reports] On the Invoice hours page, when using the People filter, the user got the error "Multiple, unrelated CTEs found with the same name: 'pr.'" This has now been fixed.
  • [SoW Planning Report] Previously, the "Bench Info" email was sent on the wrong schedule. Now, if you subscribe to this newsletter, the emails will arrive every Monday at 2 PM (GMT +6).
  • [Bitbucket] Earlier parsing from Bitbucket did not work. Parsing is fixed and now works correctly.
  • [Project Report] Scrolling in the Pull Requests Size Distribution widget was not working correctly. Now, there is no "jumping."
  • [Roles] Access to the Project Rates page has been restricted to users with the HR role.
