How to Connect Azure DevOps Board

Azure DevOps is a task management system similar to JIRA.

When setting up integration with Azure DevOps for the first time, you need to add the corresponding PM Site.

For example, https://dev.azure.com/yourorganizationname/

Please note that if you already have projects parsed from your Azure DevOps instance, you don’t need to add this Azure DevOps site again. You just need to select it from the list in the PM Site field.

There are two ways to add an Azure DevOps project for parsing in Enji:

1. Through project settings.
2. Through the admin panel in the PM Sites -> Boards section.

Adding through Project Settings:

1. In the sidebar, go to the Project Report page.
2. Navigate to the relevant project.
3. In the top right corner, click on the Actions button.
4. Choose the Project Settings option.
5. Go to the PM Tools tab.
6. Click on the + button.

Fields to Fill:

• PM Site → Choose the required Azure DevOps site from the drop-down list (add it through the + button if necessary).
• Project Key → Enter the project indicator/key, e.g., COL, PC, TEST.
• Username → Insert your username from the Azure DevOps account (your email used for system authorization).
• Board name → Enter a name for easy identification in the future.
• Token** → API Token (details on where to get the token below).
• Is active → Check the box.

Finding the Project Key:

• Go to Project Settings.

• Copy the value from the Name field [Azure DevOps] and paste it into the Project Key field [Enji].

Generating API Token in Azure DevOps Cloud:

To generate a token:

1. In the top right corner, click on your avatar.
2. Click on the three dots -> User Settings -> Personal Access Tokens.
3. Click on the New Token button.
4. Name it, choose Read for Work Items, and set the expiration date to the maximum.
5. Copy the token and paste it into the Token** field above.

Generating API Token in Azure DevOps Self-Hosted:

1. In the top right corner, click on your avatar.
2. Click on Security.
3. Click on the New Token button.
4. Name it, choose Read for Work Items, and set the expiration date to the maximum.
5. Copy the token and paste it into the Token** field above.

The parsers start every hour at 00 minutes, collecting and uploading data to Enji.

To ensure successful connection, check the value in the Last Updated field. If it shows the current date and time, parsing is working successfully.
